The Department of Revenue has created an online tax fraud reporting site. Please report any income that was reported to the IRS, but was not received by you due to identity theft.
In an effort to align with the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA), which excludes up to $10,200 in unemployment compensation per taxpayer paid in 2020, the IRS is sending refunds to affected taxpayers. The $10,200 is the maximum amount that can be excluded when calculating taxable income; it is not the amount of refunds.
The Taxpayer Assistance Center is now open by appointment only. 24 hour notice is required for all scheduled appointments.
