Distributor License
Distributor: Allows the licensee to make the wholesale purchase, importation and storage of alcoholic liquor and cereal malt beverage and the sale to licensees as authorized by K.S.A. 41-306, K.S.A. 41-306a and K.S.A. 41-307.
There are three types of distributor licenses:
- Beer Distributor
- Spirits Distributor
- Wine Distributor
All distributors must file their gallonage tax return, purchase report, sales report and remit their payment by the 15th of the month following their purchases and sales. Distributors have the option to use the conventional method filing paper forms or file using Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
Distributors must also report monthly sales to on-premise licensees.

Application Prerequisites
- New applicants are required to obtain a Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) prior to submitting your application for liquor licensure if they do not already possess their FEIN. For more information, go to: http://www.irs.gov/
- You must register for business taxes. Choose either the online option or paper form below.
- All applicants must have a valid Tax Clearance Certificate from the Kansas Department of Revenue for the entity. Apply for a Tax Clearance Certificate using your entity's FEIN.
Apply/Renew Online
All applications must be submitted online. To use the system you have the option to submit your application and pay by mail or use an electronic check or credit/debit care. Please note that the payment vendor charges a service charge for electronic payments: $1.50 for an electronic check or 2.5 percent of the total for credit/debit card use.
New Application
- Financial Disclosure (ABC-801)
- Request for Permanent Premise Approval (ABC-806)
- License Bond – select either the Escrow Bond or Surety Bond below.
- Submit a copy of your approved TTB Basic Permit (TTB F 5100.24) to wholesale.
- Submit a copy of your completed TTB Alcohol Dealer Registration (TTB F 5630.5d)
